The Future of Marketing

The sixth annual Thinking Forward: Leadership and Innovation in Marketing Conference will be held at the Student Union on The University of Arizona Campus in the South Ballroom on Friday, March 5, 2010 from approximately 9:00 a.m. to noon. Students in MKTG 471 courses will automatically be registered. All other students interested in attending can email Liz Howard at howard@eller.arizona.edu.

This is a student-centered conference for marketing majors and an excellent opportunity for students to learn from leaders who will discuss where marketing is headed over the next decade in terms of technology, research or other related issues.

Below are the speakers for the 2010 conference:

Lucas Erickson, Senior Marketing Manager, Wrigley Company
Lucas is a senior marketing manager at the Wm Wrigley Jr. Company. Lucas has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Lucas will discuss topics related to marketing and consumer goods.

Kay Lemon, Ph.D., Professor of Marketing
Kay is a professor of marketing at the Carroll School of Management, Boston College.
Kay will discuss topics related to customer equity and customer assest management and customer-based marketing strategies.

Brian Harris, Ph.D., Founder and Chairman, The Partnering Group
Brian is a successful entrepreneur with expertise in consumer packaged goods, retailing and marketing. He successfully brought to market two of the most significant modern methods in retailing and consumer products: Computerized Shelf Space Management and Category Management. He will discuss his pioneering work in space allocation and retail.
