The 12th Annual Thinking Forward: Leadership and Innovation in Marketing Conference will be held on Friday, March 4th, 2016 at McClelland Hall, Estes Atrium and Berger Auditorium.
Thinking Forward Awards
The Thinking Forward: Leadership & Innovation in Marketing Award is given in recognition of the ability to "think forward" and lead the next generation of responsible citizens and marketing professionals.
This award is not for the student with the best grade point average or most leadership or volunteer activities, but rather for students who exemplify the best combination of outstanding qualities across four categories:
- Academic achievements
- Leadership experience
- Volunteer activities and/or contributions to community and society,
- Work experience
In order to apply students must be undergraduate marketing seniors or 2nd year MBA students within the Eller College. Applications are reviewed in late fall/early spring.
In 2012, Larry Baer the President/CEO of the San Francisco Giants came to speak about his experiences. Here's what attendees had to say about it:
"I enjoyed the Giants CEO because he revelaed unique information."
"It gave me a better idea of what job and type of company that I want to work for."
