Annually, the Eller College Department of Marketing has several events that help to celebrate our interest in innovative thinking:
Thinking Forward Marketing Undergraduate & MBA Student Events
Fall
- Marketing Careers Round Table Event
Students have round table discussions with business professionals from a variety of marketing and sales industries to include but not limited to hospitality, retail, technology, and sports to obtain career advice from industry professionals and to learn how they can use their marketing degrees in different industries.

Spring
- Thinking Forward: Leadership & Innovation in Marketing Conference
This is an annual student centered conference for undergraduate marketing seniors and MBA students. Each year marketing professionals are invited to campus to speak to students about various topics in marketing. The Thinking Forward: Leadership and Innovation in Marketing Conference will be held on Friday, March 5, 2010 at the Student Union

- Think Forward Awards
MBA students will compete for an opportunity to shadow a CEO and will receive a $500 cash award. Details coming soon for the 2010 award competition!
- Office Depot Sales Summit
A celebration of sales as a discipline and profession. Students hear presentations from sales executives across a broad spectrum of industries who discuss the inherent rewards in sales careers, as well as the value of having sales skills personally.
Thinking Forward Marketing Faculty and PhD Student Events
Fall
- Lisle & Roslyn Payne Research Symposium
This symposium brings several internationally recognized marketing thought leaders each year to discuss high priority marketing issues as well as future challenges to the marketing profession, education, and research in marketing. The sysmposium is attended by faculty, doctoral students, MBA and exceptional BSBA students with an interest in the topics discussed. - Lisle & Roslyn Payne Outstanding Doctoral Student Award
This award recognizes accomplishments in research, teaching, and service to fellow students and is accompanied by a $1,000 award.
