Doctoral Program of Study

The Basic Program Elements encompass the required coursework in the following four areas:

• Marketing
• Background knowledge of pertinent fields
• Tools and methods of empirical research
• Research Involvement

In addition, the successful Ph.D. candidate must demonstrate strong teaching skills, usually acquired through experience as a teaching assistant.

Please refer to Appendix I for additional information regarding the specific course requirements and options. Completion of the Basic Program Elements as detailed in this document will automatically satisfy the College of Business & Public Administration's Primary and Secondary Core coursework requirements for the Ph.D. in Business Administration.
