Membership

The Dissertation Supervisory Committee for a candidate for the doctoral degree shall consist of no fewer than three members selected from the tenure-track faculty. At least two members will usually be from the department recommending the degree and at least one member will be drawn from outside the discipline of the major for the purpose of representing the studentís minor. In the even that the student selects more than one minor, each minor area may be represented on the supervisory committee. All matters pertaining to the membership on supervisory committees will be governed by the rules and regulations of The University of Arizona as specified in the Graduate Catalog.
